“Concerning Skyrim” is an acrylic 24×36 painting of the Elder Scrolls province of Skyrim, from one of the most popular video games ever made. A 50 hour long piece. This painting was made using a modeling paste to create physical 3D mountains that rise off the canvas, drawing the viewer deep into Skyrim as they look at it. The edges of the map are physical 3D creations as well, curling off the canvas to give it an old and weathered look. The background behind the map is a light absorbing paint, that will make the map look like it’s floating in nothingness one it is framed. The map features the major towns and holds, waterways, and roads.
