“Hellcats In The Clouds” is an original acrylic 12×36 painting of two F6F Hellcats flying in formation through a cloudy sky over the Pacific. The Hellcat was built to counter the Japanese Zero in WW2 and was one of the most famous fighters of the conflict. This piece is meant to make you feel a sense of awe at the proud power the fighter displays as it soars through the clouds on patrol. Without this plane, the conflict could have been much different.
